Sunset Peak Background
Sunset Peak is 869 meters .The area around Sunset Peak is zoned South Lantau Country Park and North Lantau Country Park. The traditional beauty of Sunset Peak, famous for its sunset landscapes and Momi scenery, attracts a large number of visitors each year from November to December.
About the route
First go to MTR Tung Chung Station and then take the bus no. 11 to Tung Chung bus stop to get off at Pak Kung Au. You will see signs along the road and you will see the pavilion along the steps. Then you can start your tour.

Autumn is coming. It is a weather that is very suitable for outdoor activities. After taking different transportation, I finally came to Sunset Peak. Unexpectedly, there are many locals and tourists in this remote suburb, such as Japan, China, South Korea, European tourists and so on. As you can see, Sunset Peak is very popular. Sunset Peak takes 4 hours to go round-trip. Because there is more than 800 meters high, and you need to board a thousand stone staircase. Also, there is no supply station in the middle, so you need to make enough food. I brought about 2L of water and 2 chocolate energy bars.
Arriving the mountainside, I could start to see a large piece of Miscanthus, which is like a yellow sea in front of you. This is very beautiful. These grasses will be swaying in the wind and have different dynamics to show the beauty of nature. At that time, I felt like a moving picture. The scenery is pleasant everywhere. Sunset peak is a great place to take pictures. Then, a lot of people were shooting here at the time.
When I reached the top of the mountain, there was a different scenery. Without the obstacles of other mountains, I could see the scenery around me at a glance, and a large sky was in front of me. Moreover, the top of the mountain is the valley temperature difference between the foothills and the peak, and I feel cold in a short while. Standing at the apex, I can see all the scenery, really beautiful. Also, when the sun was shining on the day, it was like a golden glow when it was illuminated. The scenery here makes me want to stay on for a long time.
